Shipping Delays for June 12th Launch
EDIT 6/11/2025: THE SHIPPING HAS UPDATED! I REPEAT, THE SHIPPING HAS UPDATED! We should have an invoice to approve by the end of Monday, and once it’s all cleared things should move quickly! COMPLAINING WORKS!
ORIGINAL: Hi all! We’re so so so excited for our June 12th launch, and we hope you are too! Unfortunately we have some frustrating news, but rest assured everything will end up okay.
The shipment for our June 12th launch has been in customs in Chicago since June 2, and after countless calls the only answer we have is that customs is backed up, it’ll get to us when it gets to us. All this waffling on tariffs has caused a ton of confusion for the people handling imports.
What does this mean?
Items launching on June 12th (Ocean & Bubbles Button-Up Shirts; Bubbles, Meadow, Wildflowers, Gemstones, & Sycamore Midi Skirts) will have delayed shipping from the US warehouse. We do not currently have an estimated date.
We will still launch on June 12th. Unfortunately we cannot afford to delay this launch by even one week.
Once our warehouse has the shipment, booking it in typically takes less than a day and then they can begin shipping to customers. We will not send an email notice to customers when the shipment arrives to the warehouse because they’re so fast that you may receive a shipping notification before we have time to write up the email, leading to unnecessary inbox clogging. However, we will make announcements on social media for those of you who don’t want to purchase products until they’re ready to ship.
What is the normal process?
Under normal circumstances, our shipment hits customs and Devin receives an email within 24 hours detailing import fees based on the invoice for our shipment. Devin then confirms the invoice is accurate and signs off on those fees, and the shipment is sent to our warehouse to be checked in and sorted for shipping to customers. We prefer to have this wrapped up before launch, but occasionally it takes longer than scheduled and items reach the warehouse a day or two after launch.
What happens if the shipment never gets through customs?
You will receive a refund.
Why can’t you delay the launch?
There are three big reasons:
One, we have already advertised the launch date. Changing that last minute has kneecapped sales in the past, and we can’t afford that right now.
Two, Canada’s shipment will arrive within a few days, and the UK warehouse has received their shipment. If we delayed for just the US, we mess up our worldwide launch system. If we delay for all three locations, we’re paying extra to store merchandise at the Canada and UK warehouses when money’s already tight.
Three, we cannot afford to. We operate on a tight budget, and if we hit Monday without a launch on Thursday, we’re going to run out of money.
I don’t want to order until it’s ready to ship.
That’s fine, we’re going to make an announcement on social media when everything has hit the US warehouse so those of you who would prefer to wait can do so.
